These sessions provide networking opportunities and good practice sharing for mathematics subject leaders. this session will include updates on leading mathematics in the changing education landscape with a focus on the latest rsearch and theory in primary mathematics.


Be prepared to share good practice from your own school as this presents a great opportunity to share the very best in maths teaching from across Lambeth schools.

Description

The termly networking opportunity will include updates on leading mathematics in the changing education landscape. The focus in 2019-20 will be on supporting schools to establish and maintain mastery of the curriculum as well as effective systems for planning and assessment.

Each session combines discussion of the lastest research into primary mathematics teaching with the sharing of existing good practice across Lambeth schools. It provides a valuable opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest and share examples of best practice in mathematics teaching in Lambeth schools,

Outcomes

Effective management and mastery of the mathematics curriculum to secure gains in progress and achievement
Awareness of the many examples of best practice in mathematics teaching in Lambeth primary schools
Wider contact with colleagues across Lambeth
