Information Governance covers the important areas of Data Protection, Information Security, Freedom of Information, Records Management and Information Sharing. With the Information Commissioners Office having the power to fine organisations who do not keep data safe, as well as a public who are much more aware of their information rights, Information Governance is a critical area for schools to get right.
Annual contracts and other packages
Lambeth’s Information Governance Team offers a service to provide audit, advice and guidance to ensure that you have robust systems and procedures in place, and to respond to specific issues that you might experience.
- We have a single point of contact for schools who access the service via a dedicated email address
- The Information Governance Team are able to liaise with other services within the London Borough of Lambeth such as the ICT Team (information technology security) and the Complaints and Freedom of Information Team (Subject Access Requests) etc.
- Policies and templates (privacy notices, consent forms etc.) will be updated by the Information Governance Team to incorporate changes in best practice, legislation, emerging issues and trends. This will help inform schools own working practices in respect of privacy protection.
